Multi-agnostic Monitoring

Network monitoring system performs multi-agnostic monitoring of network constituents. The flexible monitoring allows for addition/deletion of devices without worrying about compatibilty issues. Besides, customer can make optimum utilization of multi-vendor resource by configuring on a single network.

Supports Distributed monitoring

Distributed monitoring is one of the finest features of Network monitoring system. For customers with multiple sites or location requirement, distributed monitoring is the answer. Network monitoring system deploys agents or sensors at target locations. Network is monitored through these agents for any kind of faults.

Automatic discovery of devices

Network monitoring system does automatic scanning of all the network devices via multiple protocols. There is a library of monitoring templates that defines the way to monitor a device. Visualization is generated of the physical and virtual network connectivity. NMS consolidates two main functions- scanning a network and mapping it automatically. Once the discovery process is completed, it appropriately assigns a suitable role to each device.

Intelligent Color coded mapping

Network monitoring system generates a color-coded network maps which is a powerful tool that enables the user to visualize the network. A clean and orderly layout of the wiring closet is represented. Overloaded or faulty connected is indicated by red, up and running connection by green and warning links in yellow. Network Map display devices on a network. Up to date status

Real Time threshold-based alerts

Notifications are sent to admin and concerned user via e-mail, text and logging. Threshold limit is set for triggering alarm systems in order to alert the user or admin. Investigation is done proactively so that user or admin can take corrective actions before the device fails altogether. Alerts are generally sent after polling of network devices for its respective status are performed. Alerts are generated only for devices with some issues or unusual deviation from the standard behavior.

Role based access rights

For securing sensitive files and application RBAC becomes essential. User access can be restricted based on designation, competence and responsibility. Operational efficiency shoots up with role- based access control, since there is no need to change the password with new employee assuming an existing post. RBAC also ensures that NMS is cost effective with savings of network bandwidth, memory and storage.

Notifications for new changes made on the network

Latest notifications like new device on the network, IP change for MAC address, device change for IP, new device on IP, new connection on IP and change in MAC&IP can be seen under notification icon. USER can add, ignore or resolve the new device on the network. In case of address change (logical or physical), there is extra option of updating the latest change. Total no. of notifications is visible on the main dashboard under notification icon.

Centralized log aggregation and Reporting

It provides immediate detail of down device. The report of down device can be viewed on different duration ranging from 1 hour to 7 days. Report can be generated in file formats like CSV, excel and pdf. Details of the down devices like name, IP address and parent switch connection are also available.
